Katha Pollit’s book “Pro: Reclaiming Abortion Rights” has been published lately in Poland by Wydawnictwo Krytyka Politycznej (the Publishing House of Political Critique) with a special new chapter dedicated to Polish restrictive laws on abortion.

Katha Pollitt (born October 14, 1949) – is an American feminist poet, essayist and critic. She is the author of four essay collections and two books of poetry. Her writing focuses on political and social issues, including abortion rights, racism, welfare reform, feminism, and poverty.

Krytyka Polityczna

Krytyka Polityczna (Political Critique) is the largest Eastern European liberal network of institutions and activists. It consists of the online daily Dziennik Opinii, a quarterly magazine, publishing house, cultural centres in Warsaw, Łódź, Gdańsk and Cieszyn, activist clubs in a dozen cities in Poland (and also in Kiev and Berlin), as well as a research centre: the Institute for Advanced Study in Warsaw.
